Just a thought to other students

I was reading the blog of my drawing 1 instructor. He mentioned something about drawing every day to be proficient. So Very true! doing this as often as you can will improve your art no matter what your focus is. This just brings to mind what my drawing 2 instructor kept saying. " Draw what's there! Is that what's there? Draw what's in front of you!" Part of the reason we are in art school is to separate what our mind tells us is there ( which can be symbolic colors or shapes- like the lake water is blue, or a tree branch is brown) to what is actually there ( the water is a myriad of colors and the tree branch is a blueish grey and red).
Keep your eyes open

Hi Kim,
It's great to see you working hard. I can see your work is getting stronger. A great teacher I had once said that making art is a long run. Keep it up.
